If you have an active kid, getting a small indoor trampoline can be one of the best gifts ever. The mini trampoline is great ways for kids to stay active and strengthen their muscles without placing too much strain on their growing bodies.
We bought our first indoor trampoline when my little bouncer was just two and there are few things you must consider when buying a kids trampoline such as the size, durability, fun, handlebars, price, and of course, the safety!
Safety is very important, which is why you must invest in the safest trampoline you can find on the market.
Luckily, there are now a whole new host of trampolines made specifically for indoor use. In this article, I’ve listed some of the best small indoor trampolines for toddlers. We’re confident you’ll find the one that suits your needs and budget as well.
Best Small Indoor Trampoline For Toddlers and Kids
1. The Original Toy Company Fold & Go Trampoline – Best Trampoline For Toddlers
There are lots of different trampolines to choose from on the market but base on testing and reviews, we consider this one to be the best choice for your little one. It is very durable and pretty easy to assemble as well, it also only has four screws for setup which is why parents should be able to assemble this trampoline in less than 10 minutes without facing any hassle.
This trampoline has an attractive blue/yellow/red color pattern. The large jumping space and lack of springs make it safe and worth the investment. Also, for safety purposes, the blue circular pad attaches to the outer ring of the trampoline to protect your child’s feet from getting caught in the springs.
With its folding frame, it should be able to easily fit inside your closet or be put away without being too bulky. It has a high weight rating at 150 lbs and is 36″ in diameter. At 150 lbs this is absolutely more than enough for most kids (even if you are an adult you should be just fine bouncing as well).
The only downside that I found with this is that very small, light kids might find it a bit difficult to get a good bounce from it, the reason being is because they just don’t have enough weight or strength to push down hard enough.
This is a very popular trampoline and has many positive reviews. Many owners love this mini trampoline and are happy they purchased it for their kids.
- High weight limit
- It’s pretty easy to assemble
- Comes with a handlebar
- It is extremely safe for kids
- Designed for indoor use
- Six legs for added stability
- Has a strong smell
- Handles may get a bit loose after repeated use
2. Little Tikes 3′ Trampoline – Best Value For the Money
When it comes to choosing a high-quality trampoline for your toddler, I recommend checking out the Little Tikes 3′. This trampoline is a very popular one and kids are loving it. This mini trampoline for kids offers your child the fun and excitement he/she always wanted. They can start bouncing as soon as it arrives.
The Little Tikes 3′ Trampoline created the ideal combination of plastic and metal for a durable, long lasting trampoline. It’s extremely lightweight weighing only 14.2 lbs and measures at a diameter of 33 inches in length and standing height of 33.5 inches.
Just like The Original Toy Company Fold & Go Trampoline it also has a handlebar for extra stability and a large jumping surface. The handle bar is designed for indoor use only and is ideal for those looking to add a way for their kids to burn off energy while having fun at the same time.
It is best for kids age 3 to 6 years old with a weight capacity of 55 lbs. It also uses elastic strap type material rather than springs or bungee which seems to be a lot safer.
We found it very easy to assemble, you should be able to put it together in a matter of minutes without having any help. Little Tikes has been making kids products for ages and this seems to be one of their most popular ones.
- Very easy to assemble
- High quality and sturdy build
- No springs
- Made with good webbing
- Large jumping surface
- Can’t take too much pressure
- Potential foam hazard
3. Bazoongi 48-Inch Bouncer Trampoline – High Quality
This high-quality trampoline is a bit similar to the ones I’ve mentioned earlier. This is a great reliable trampoline for kids with a very high weight limit of 100 lbs and an impressive bouncing surface (4 feet wide).
It’s great for both indoor and outdoor use, I can guarantee your little one will appreciate this superb trampoline. I also love the fact that you have multiple color and cover option to choose from, these colors include camouflage orange, camouflage pink and butterfly pink.
It also features galvanized steel springs for added durability and six legs for maximum stability. This trampoline also has a handle bar for extra support for your children to hold onto.
The only downside with this trampoline is the sturdiness of the legs, they tend to wobble at times if the child jumps too hard on it and Bazoongi cords tend to break after about 8 to 12 months of use.
It is super easy to assemble, you should be able to put it together in less than 25 minutes. We believe this is a great entry level trampoline for toddlers from a well-known brand in the market.
- Fully padded handle bar
- Comes in multiple colors and different cover options
- It has six legs for better support on the floor
- Very nice bounce
- Wobble just a little
- Cords tend to break after a while
4. My First Trampoline Combo – 55″ – Well Known Brand
If you are looking for a simple but unique trampoline for your toddlers and preschool kids, then you should check out My First Trampoline Combo. Unlike many mini indoor trampolines on the market, this one comes with an enclosed safety net and Grade A material.
This trampoline was made with high safety standards such as strong galvanized steel poles for stability. It’s sturdy enough to be used outdoors, but it shouldn’t be left there permanently as it isn’t designed for outdoor use.
The trampoline feels very sturdy and well built, but the trampoline is light and can be easily moved when you want to. Although this trampoline is extremely safe for kids, I believe parent or guardian should always be nearby to attend to a child who’s jumping.
With that being said, the breathable mesh allows parents to watch their kids while they are bouncing within the UV resistant safety enclosures. It also features safety springs, which are covered in durable pads protectors, for safe bouncing action for your kids.
It’s a mini trampoline with a net that weighs less than 60 lbs and has a weight limit of 100 lbs. If you are looking for the perfect gift for your little one from a trusted brand, then I highly recommend checking this one out on Amazon.
- Safest trampoline on our list
- Trusted brand
- Made from high-quality material
- Can be used inside or outside
- Outdoor can be a bit harsh on the trampoline
Ultimate Mini Indoor Trampoline Buyer’s Guide
When searching for the best trampoline for your toddler, there are a few things you must consider before buying. The number one concern should be the safety features of the trampoline. Things like padding over the springs or models that do not actually have springs. This is why I highly recommend using an indoor trampoline because they tend to be a lot safer compared to the larger outdoor ones.
Handlebar Trampoline Benefits
When buying a trampoline make sure to get one with a very sturdy handle bar or an enclosure (or both) for your little one.
The handlebar will help your little one to keep their balance instead of falling off the trampoline and hitting the ground.
However, even though the handlebar is safe, there are also a few risks that come with it. Because your child will always be facing the handlebar while they are jumping, there is a chance that their chin or mouth could make contact with the handle and causes minor to serious injuries. Another thing is that your child may start chewing on the handle bar foam. Putting duct tape over the foam will prevent this from happening.
Why Would You Benefit From a Mini Trampoline?
All parent or guardian would benefit from purchasing a mini trampoline for their little one. It will help to keep them healthy and active all at the same time. From children age three to six years old starts to become active jumping, running and climbing on to furniture in the house. By buying them a trampoline, you will make sure they are active in one spot by jumping. Jumping will also help prepare them for any outdoor sports in the future.
There are many different small indoor trampoline to choose from on the market. Now, that you know about what to look for when buying a trampoline, you should be able to choose the best one that suits your needs with ease. It is also important to read the description of the product carefully when buying, while most are designed for indoor use only, some can be used both indoors and outdoors.
