Although m, this button will not turn on the voice assistant on your phone or start playing music from Spotify.
UE Charging Port
UE updated in some ways but didn’t in others. The charging port of the speaker has moved to the bottom so that it will be more convenient. The thing that didn’t change is the MicroUSB lightning connector that is required to get your speaker charged. If you are not a big fan of charging cables, you can get a separate Power Up wireless charging dock worth $40. It will serve as your charging dock when your speaker is at home.
UE Megaboom 3 DJ Mode
This UE DJ feature is newly added to the speaker. This feature allows you to invite your friends to make your mic and control what plays on your speaker. You have an option to invite up to two friends to control your mixes. You can also connect different devices with Bluetooth using the Megaboom app. It looks like a very gimmick but clever way to allow your friend’s control over your music.
Performance of UE Megaboom 3
When it comes to performance, we can’t ignore how loud this thing can get. If you are in a medium-sized room, just keeping the volume on 50% will be enough. We will not recommend you taking the volume to 100% unless you are outdoors and there is ambient noise to cut it down.

Usually, the speakers lose sound quality at high volume but thankfully the audio quality stays great. Although, the bass is lost at high volume. Battery
You get 20 hours of battery life so when you fully charge your speaker, it will last you almost a full day of usage and that is pretty great. This time period is valid if the volume of your music is around 25%, otherwise, you get a margin of a few hours at different volumes.
