The best selling brand among grills really doesn’t need an introduction. The Weber Genesis II S-435 is the company’s latest launch that comes with four burners, a Sear Station and a side burner.

These burners are made out of stainless steel and are capable of delivering up to 48,000 BTU/hour total heating capacity. This means you will get 74 BTU of heat per hour per square inch of heating space. On the other hand, this device also has a sear station burner that has a total heating capacity of 12,000 BTUs.

This amazing gas grill comes with a 646 square inches of primary cooking area with an additional 198 square inches that constitute a warming rack. This model is also compatible with the iGrill 3 app that gives you the ability to monitor the temperature from mobile devices. The disadvantage is that you’ve to purchase the accessory separately.

Now let us take the time out to look at the main features of this superb quality gas grill. The Broil King Regal 490 Pro is an impressive product that comes with a porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grate, not the stainless steel. Like Weber Genesis II S-435, this product also has 4 gas burners which are considered to be a bit more powerful than its competitor, along with side and rotisserie burner as well. The side and rotisserie burners are set separately in different cabinets.

The 4 burners of this amazing product are made of dual tube stainless steel and are capable of providing up to 12,250 BTU per hour. With that being said, the rotisserie burner has a heating capacity of 15,000 BTU and the side burner is 10,000 BTU. In terms of the cooking area, the total space is 695 square inches with 500 square inches of primary cooking area.

 

Comparison Between Broil King and Weber

Broil King Regal 490 Pro and Weber Genesis II S-435 are both 4 gas burner grills. They are both made with stainless steel and have the ability to provide heat with great consistency.

When it comes to the cooking power, the main burners of Weber Genesis II S-435 have a total heat capacity of 48,000 BTU with 12,000 BTU of the side burner and 9000 BTU for the sear station. On the other hand, the Broil King Regal 490 Pro is a bit ahead in terms of power with a total amount of 50,000 BTU heating capacity with 15,000 BTU for the rotisserie burner and 10,000 BTU for the side burner.

So if your goal is to invest in a gas grill with massive power, then your best bet would be to get yourself a Broil King. There is a total difference of 6,000 BTU of heat capacity.

It’s pretty hard to choose between each product, as this would not be fair at all. Both products have their own unique features. While one product may be good in one category, the other may be better in another.

Man, if I was spending that much I would just buy a Weber. If you’re in the states hit up your local Walmart’s. Walmart locations everywhere have been randomly clearencing old inventory of Weber Genesis and Spirit gas grills (all Weber products actually). Three burner Weber gas grills for like $300.

Put the fish on a rack in a baking pan with some water in the bottom. The excess glaze will drip into the water and won't burn.
